Former Syracuse forward Erin Flurey has transferred to Florida State, she announced on social media Monday. The redshirt junior played three seasons with Syracuse from 2022-24, and will spend what’s likely her final college soccer season with the Seminoles.

During the 2024 season, FSU finished third in the Atlantic Coast Conference with a 7-2-1 conference record. The Seminoles were a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament but were upset by Vanderbilt on penalty kicks in the second round.

Flurey didn’t play her freshman year in 2021 due to offseason surgery. Though as a redshirt freshman the next year, Flurey burst onto the scene, starting 13 games and notching four goals. Her efforts led Syracuse to an 8-7-3 record.

In her next two seasons, Flurey became SU’s best offensive player, starting every game and combining for 11 goals and four assists. Her six finishes paced the Orange in 2023 and her five tied for the lead with Ashley Rauch in 2024.

With Flurey’s transfer and the graduation of Rauch, Syracuse’s offense, which only scored an abysmal 21 goals in 2024, is even more depleted. The Orange will retain redshirt sophomore Ava Uribe, but they’ll need to look to the portal to fill Flurey and Rauch’s spots.
