Festival of Trees

The Everson Museum of Art is open until 9 p.m. the first Friday of every month. This Friday will feature the Festival of Trees. The event will include a special chocolate tasting by Speach Family Candy Shoppe and Christmas goodies available at the museum’s store.

When: Friday from 5-9 p.m.

Where: Everson Museum of Art

Cost: $5 for members and $8 for non-members

Barely Alive and Virtual Riot

Barely Alive, a Massachusetts-based duo, was listed just below Skrillex as Beatport’s hottest dubstep artists. Head to The Westcott Theater to watch the duo in action with Virtual Riot, a California-based dubstep artist.

Orange After Dark Grocery Bingo

Want to win free groceries? Head to Grocery Bingo hosted by Orange After Dark. Venue capacity is limited, so make sure to get there early. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cost: Free for students with a valid SU or SUNY-ESF ID

“The Wizard of Oz”

Celebrate the holidays with “The Wizard of Oz.” The play, organized by the Syracuse University Department of Drama and Syracuse Stage, will partner with New York City’s 2 Ring Circus for an acrobatic twist.

When: Friday through Jan. 7, with varied showtimes

New York Craft Brewers Festival

The fifth annual New York Craft Brewers Festival is almost here. The festival will feature beers from more than 60 breweries in every region of New York state.

When: Saturday from 5-8 p.m.

Where: Landmark Theatre

Cost: $20 to $45

Daily Orange_Thirsty Thursday

Enter the Haggis concert

Celtic Folk Rock band Enter the Haggis will perform at The Westcott Theater with multi-genre group Annie in the Water. The Toronto-based band has received acclaim for its eight studio albums. Its most recent album debuted at No. 9 on the U.S. national Billboard heatseekers charts. Annie in the Water blends blues, hip-hop, funk rock, reggae and bluegrass and has toured around the nation. Doors open at 7 p.m.

When: Saturday at 8 p.m.

Where: The Westcott Theater, 524 Westcott St.

Orange After Dark Pajama Pinterest Party

Now’s the time to finally make the crafts you’ve been pinning for years on Pinterest — in your pajamas. Some DIY projects include painting mason jars, chalkboard frames, dream catchers and more. Snacks will be served.

When: Saturday at 10 p.m.

Where: Schine Student Center, 304ABC

Cost: Free for students with a valid SU or SUNY-ESF ID. No tickets are needed for entry.

Holidays at Hendricks

Head to Hendricks Chapel this weekend for its annual holiday concert, where the Syracuse University Brass Ensemble, Hendricks Chapel Choir, organist Annie Laver and special guests will perform. Donations of non-perishable food items are encouraged. Public parking is free and is available on a first-come, first-served basis in the Q1, Q3, Irving Garage and Waverly Avenue lots. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

When: Sunday from 7:30-9:30 p.m.

Where: Hendricks Chapel

Cost: Free and open to the public
