Local, state election results release after polls close

Polls for the 2024 United States general elections closed at 9 p.m. in New York state Tuesday, and many races have been called since.
The Onondaga County Board of Elections released its unofficial election participation numbers in a 9:55 p.m. X post. Around 119,000 people voted in the county on Election Day, almost 78,000 voted early and nearly 34,000 by mail.
The state has finalized its election results after all ballots — including mail-in and absentee — have been counted.
The Daily Orange has compiled the results of several state, county and city elections as election night continues.
National
PRESIDENT
As of 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, the national race between Vice President Kamala Harris (DEM) and former President Donald Trump (REP) has not yet been decided.
Harris is the presumed winner of the presidential race in New York state, the Associated Press declared at 9 p.m. The AP called the election with around 16% of votes counted.
HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES — New York 22nd congressional district
John Mannion is the winner of the NY-22 Congressional District race, defeating incumbent Brandon Williams with 53.9% of the votes, according to The New York Times. An estimated 81% of votes have been reported.
SENATE — NEW YORK
New York Senator Kristen Gillibrand (incumbent) is the projected winner of her current seat in the United States Senate, according to the AP. The AP called the election at 9:00 p.m. with an estimated 16% of total votes counted.
Gillibrand’s opponents were Michael Sapraicone (REP) and Diane Sare (LIB).
State
NEW YORK STATE SENATE — 48TH DISTRICT
New York State Senator Rachel May (Incumbent) is the winner of her current seat in the 48th district with an estimated 60% of votes, according to The New York Times. An estimated 71% of votes have been reported.
NEW YORK STATE SENATE — 50TH DISTRICT
Christopher Ryan is the winner of the New York State Senate’s 50th district with 53.85% of votes, according to unofficial results from the Onondaga County Board of Elections. 100% of both election day and early votes have been counted.
NEW YORK STATE ASSEMBLY — 126TH DISTRICT
Ian Phillips is the winner of the New York State Assembly 126th district with 45.31% of votes, according to unofficial results from the Onondaga County Board of Elections. 100% of both election day and early votes have been counted.
NEW YORK STATE ASSEMBLY — 127TH DISTRICT
Incumbent 127th District Assemblyman Al Stirpe (DEM) has been reelected to his assembly seat, defeating challenger Tim Kelly (REP), according to The New York Times.
NEW YORK STATE ASSEMBLY — 128TH DISTRICT
Incumbent 128th District Assemblywoman Pam Hunter (DEM) has been reelected to his assembly seat, defeating challenger Daniel Ciciarelli (REP), according to The New York Times.
NEW YORK STATE ASSEMBLY — 129TH DISTRICT
New York State Assembly Member William Magnarelli (Incumbent) is the projected winner of the assembly’s 129th district, according to The New York Times. The assemblyman ran unopposed.
PROPOSAL 1
Proposal 1 (Amendment to Protect Against Unequal Treatment) passed in New York state with about 72% of votes and an estimated 33% of total votes counted, according to The New York Times.
Onondaga County
FAMILY COURT JUDGE
Christina El Bayadi has won the race for Onondaga County Family Court Judge with 54.49% of votes, according to unofficial results from the Onondaga County Board of Elections. 98.44% of both election day and early votes have been counted.
City of Syracuse
CITY COURT JUDGE
Ross Andrews has won the race for Syracuse City Court Judge with 49.6% of votes, according to unofficial results from the Onondaga County Board of Elections. 95.64% of both election day and early votes have been counted.
