The Syracuse Police Department is investigating 13 burglaries that occurred near Syracuse University’s campus from Dec. 15 to Jan. 15.

The Syracuse Police Department is investigating 13 burglaries that occurred near Syracuse University’s campus from Dec. 15 to Jan. 15.

During that same time period, 9 burglaries and larcenies were reported to the Department of Public Safety.

Here is a list of when and where the off-campus crimes were reported to DPS:

Dec. 16



A larceny reported to DPS on Dec. 16 has been referred to SU’s Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities, according to DPS crime logs. The incident allegedly occurred two days earlier.

Where: 300 block of Waverly Avenue

When: Dec. 14 at 8 p.m.

Dec. 18

A larceny reported to DPS on Dec. 18 has also been referred to the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities. The incident allegedly occurred in September.

Where: 500 block of Comstock Avenue

When: Sept. 24 at 12 p.m.

Dec. 25

A burglary reportedly occurred on the 1200 block of Harrison Street. The case is listed as open in department crime logs. 

Where: 1200 block of Harrison Street

When: Dec. 25 at 10:07 p.m.

Dec. 30

DPS is investigating a larceny that reportedly occurred Dec. 2 near South Campus. 

Where: 200 block of Winding Ridge Road

When: Dec. 2 at 4 a.m.

Jan. 6

A burglary that reportedly occurred Dec. 31 at SU’s Fraternity Row remains under DPS investigation. 

Where: 200 block Walnut Place

When: Dec. 31 at 3 p.m.

Jan. 8.

An attempted burglary reported on the 800 block of Sumner Avenue was transferred to SPD, according to DPS crime logs.

Where: 800 block of Sumner Avenue

When: Jan. 8 at 4 a.m.

Jan. 10. 

A larceny that reportedly occurred on the 600 block of Comstock Avenue remains under DPS investigation.

Where: 600 block of Comstock Avenue

When: Jan. 10 at 2:21 p.m.

DPS is also investigating a larceny reported Jan. 10 that allegedly occurred Dec. 13.

Where: 200 block of Waverly Avenue

When: Dec. 13 at 11:40 a.m.

Jan. 11.

The department is investigating a larceny that also reportedly occurred Dec. 13. 

Where: 300 block of Stadium Place

When: Dec. 13 at 9 a.m.

Jan. 14

DPS is investigating a larceny that reportedly occurred on the 200 block of Waverly Avenue.

Where: 200 block of Waverly Avenue

When: Jan. 14 at 1 p.m.
