SU names 2020 class marshals

Omo-Lamai is a bioengineering major and Rosenblum is a psychology and policy studies major.

Juniors Serena Omo-Lamai and Kyle Rosenblum will serve as senior class marshals for the Class of 2020, Syracuse University announced Wednesday.

Rosenblum and Omo-Lamai will lead their class next spring during SU’s 166th Commencement ceremony. Class marshals also participate in university events throughout their senior year and meet with other senior leaders.

While at SU, Omo-Lamai, a bioengineering major from Nigeria, has volunteered with the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, the Northside Learning Center and Grant Middle School Engineering Ambassadors, according to an SU News release. She has also participated in the Engineering World Health chapter, the Biomedical Engineering Society and the Honors Advisory Board.

Omo-Lamai is a member of Women of Color in Science and Engineering at SU. She is a student in the Renée Crown University Honors Program and a recipient of SU’s 1870 Scholarship, according to the release.

Rosenblum, a psychology and policy studies dual major, currently serves as the vice president of SU’s Student Association. He also works as a research assistant in a psychology research lab and as an undergraduate facilitator for the Social Skills Training Program, which helps children build social skills, according to the release.



Rosenblum has worked as an SU orientation leader and served as programming chair for OrangeSeeds, a leadership program for first-year students. He also is a Coronat Scholar in the College of Arts and Sciences.
