Roberson awaits NCAA clearance after completing summer classes

Highly touted Syracuse recruit Tyler Roberson is ready to submit his transcript to the NCAA after finishing summer classes at Roselle (N.J) Catholic High School, The Post-Standard reported on Thursday. With the classes finished, the four-star forward is likely to be cleared by the NCAA to play in the 2013-14 season.

A 6-foot-7 power forward, Roberson is one of five members in the Orange’s Class of 2013 and helped lead Roselle Catholic to the New Jersey state title as a senior, averaging 17.5 points, 11.7 rebounds and 3.3 blocks per game. His monster season earned him New Jersey Player of the Year honors.

Roberson is the No. 14 power forward in his class and the No. 55 player overall. He is the second-highest rated prospect in SU’s incoming freshman class behind point guard Tyler Ennis, the No. 22 player in the class.
