In the second quarter of the Baltimore Ravens’ 34-31 Super Bowl XLVII win over the San Francisco 49ers, former Syracuse defensive tackle Arthur Jones made one of the game’s biggest plays.

The Ravens held a 7-3 lead, but the 49ers were driving. Then Jones made his play. Baltimore linebacker Courtney Upshaw stripped San Francisco running back LaMichael James at the 25-yard-line. Jones jumped on the ball, and the Ravens scored their second touchdown of the game on the resulting possession.

Jones also added a sack in the third quarter, one play before the power went out, resulting in a 34-minute delay.

Another former Orange star, linebacker Jameel McClain, will also get a Super Bowl ring. He was inactive for the game with a spinal contusion.
