Staff: Orange volleyball defeats Binghamton in final regular season road game
The Syracuse volleyball team (20-10, 8-5 Big East) found its swing Tuesday night in a much-needed break from Big East play against Binghamton. The Orange swept the Bearcats, 3-0, after losing five of its last six games.
To start the match, Syracuse struggled again, posting 10 hitting errors in the first set. But the Orange picked up the offense after the break, compiling a .327 hitting percentage in the next two sets.
Senior middle blocker Sarah Morton led the way for the Orange with 12 kills and six blocks. Outside hitter Annabelle Pellerin added nine kills and sophomore Erin Little tallied eight kills with a .571 hitting percentage.
The Orange’s final regular season game is Friday night at 7 p.m. against Villanova in Manley Field House.
